🍜 MONGOLIAN GROUND BEEF NOODLES

A quick stir-fry twist on classic Mongolian flavors, tossed with tender noodles and garnished to perfection.


📋 Ingredients

Main

  • 1 lb (450g) lean ground beef
  • 8 oz (225g) linguine or spaghetti noodles

Sauce

  • ¼ cup (60ml) low-sodium soy sauce
  • ¼ cup (60ml) hoisin sauce
  • ¼ cup (60ml) beef broth
  • 2 tbsp brown sugar
  • ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

Aromatics

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Garnish

  • Green onions, sliced
  • Sesame seeds

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1️⃣ Cook the Noodles
Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil.
Cook noodles according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.

2️⃣ Make the Sauce
In a small bowl, whisk together:
soy sauce, hoisin sauce, beef broth, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes (if using). Set aside.

3️⃣ Brown the Beef
In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks. Drain excess fat if needed.

4️⃣ Add Aromatics
Reduce heat to medium.
Stir in minced garlic and ginger, cooking for about 1 minute until fragrant.

5️⃣ Add the Sauce
Pour the prepared sauce into the skillet. Stir to combine and simmer for 2–3 minutes until it thickens slightly.

6️⃣ Toss with Noodles
Add the cooked noodles to the skillet. Toss everything together until evenly coated.
Cook for another 2 minutes to heat through.

7️⃣ Garnish & Serve
Transfer to bowls or plates.
Top with green onions and a sprinkle of sesame seeds.
Serve hot and enjoy the bold, savory-sweet flavor!
