Grilled Sausage and Peppers Sandwich

Ingredients:

4 Italian sausages (mild or spicy)

2 hoagie or sandwich rolls

1 green bell pepper, sliced

1 yellow or orange bell pepper, sliced

1 medium onion, sliced

2 tbsp olive oil

1 tsp garlic (minced)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the Sausages:

Preheat a grill or skillet over medium heat.

Grill the sausages for 12–15 minutes, turning occasionally, until fully cooked and browned.

  1. Cook the Vegetables:

In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat.

Add sliced onions and bell peppers. Sauté for 5–7 minutes until they begin to soften.

Add minced garlic, salt, and pepper to taste.

Cook another 2–3 minutes until veggies are caramelized and tender.

  1. Assemble the Sandwich:

Lightly toast the rolls if desired.

Spoon a generous amount of sautéed peppers and onions into each roll.

Place a grilled sausage on top.

Garnish with chopped parsley.

  1. Serve Warm: Great with chips, fries, or a crisp salad.
