🎣 Nonna Pia’s Fresh Caught Trout
📋 Ingredients:
- 2 whole fresh trout, cleaned and scaled
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, sliced
- 1 lemon, sliced
- Fresh parsley, chopped
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- Optional: a splash of white wine

👩🍳 Directions:
1️⃣ Prep the Trout:
Pat the trout dry with paper towels. Season inside and out with salt and pepper.
2️⃣ Stuff for Flavor:
Insert garlic slices, lemon rounds, and a bit of parsley inside the cavity of each fish.
3️⃣ Sear or Roast:
- To Pan-Fry: Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Cook trout 4–5 minutes per side, until skin is crispy and flesh flakes easily.
- To Oven-Roast: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Place trout on a greased baking sheet, drizzle with olive oil and white wine if using, and bake for 15–18 minutes.
4️⃣ Finish & Serve:
Garnish with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon. Serve with roasted potatoes, crusty bread, or a fresh green salad.
