🧈 Billion Dollar Buttery Biscuits 🥞

Soft, golden, and dripping with rich buttery goodness—these biscuits are melt-in-your-mouth magic with just four ingredients!

📋 Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter
  • 4 1/2 cups Bisquick (or similar baking mix)
  • 1 cup lemon-lime soda (like 7-Up or Sprite)
  • 1 cup full-fat sour cream (do not use light or reduced-fat)

👩‍🍳 Instructions

1. Preheat & Prep the Butter
Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
Place the butter in a 9×13-inch baking dish and slide it into the oven. Let it melt completely, then carefully remove the pan. Leave the oven on.

2. Mix the Dough
In a large bowl, stir together the Bisquick, sour cream, and lemon-lime soda. The dough will be soft and a bit sticky—that’s perfect!

3. Shape the Dough
Transfer the dough to a lightly floured surface. If needed, sprinkle in a bit more Bisquick to make it easier to handle.
Gently pat or roll the dough into a 1-inch thick round.

4. Cut the Biscuits
Using a round biscuit cutter or a drinking glass (2–3 inches wide), cut out biscuits. Gently press scraps back together to cut more.

5. Butter Bath Time
Place the biscuits directly into the baking dish, right into that golden pool of melted butter.

6. Bake
Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until the tops are golden brown and the edges crisp.

7. Let Them Rest
Let the biscuits sit in the buttered pan for 2–3 minutes to soak up even more flavor. Then serve warm!
