🌭 Italian Sausage and Peppers Hoagie
🔪 Ingredients:
- 4 Italian sausages (mild or spicy)
- 1 green bell pepper, sliced
- 1 yellow or orange bell pepper, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic (minced)
- Salt & pepper to taste
- 4 hoagie or sandwich rolls
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
🍳 Instructions:
- Grill the Sausages
Heat a grill or grill pan over medium heat. Cook the sausages for 10–12 minutes, turning occasionally, until nicely browned and fully cooked through. - Sauté the Peppers & Onions
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add onions and peppers. Sauté for 7–9 minutes until softened. Add garlic, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 1–2 minutes. - Toast the Rolls
Lightly toast the hoagie rolls on the grill or in a toaster for extra crunch. - Assemble the Sandwiches
Layer the sautéed peppers and onions into each roll, then top with a hot grilled sausage. - Garnish & Serve
Sprinkle with chopped parsley (optional) and serve hot!
