In 2017, 23-year-old Hannah Simmons was driving her infant daughter, Alannah, to a checkup in Gainesville, Georgia, accompanied by her best friend. Tragically, they were involved in a head-on collision with a truck, and all three lost their lives instantly.
As first responders arrived, 19-year-old Anisa Gannon, who was passing by on her way to work, took a quick photo of the scene to explain her delay to her boss. But later, she noticed something stunning in the image: a bright beam of light shining directly down onto the wrecked car.
When Anisa shared the photo with the victims’ families, they were overcome with emotion. To them, the light wasn’t just a coincidence — it was a spiritual sign. Hannah’s mother, Jodi Simmons, described it as a “pathway to heaven,” offering a sense of peace amid their overwhelming grief.
While some may see a lens flare or reflection, the families believe it captured something far greater — a reminder that their loved ones were at peace.
