Washington Father Wanted for Murder After Bodies of Three Young Daughters Found
WENATCHEE, WA — A tragic search for three missing sisters in Washington state ended in heartbreak this week, as authorities confirmed the discovery of their bodies near the vehicle of their father, who is now wanted for murder.
The victims — Paityn Decker, 9; Evelyn Decker, 8; and Olivia Decker, 5 — were reported missing by their mother on the evening of Friday, May 30, after they failed to return from a scheduled visitation with their father, 32-year-old Travis Decker, according to the Wenatchee Police Department.
Decker, who is homeless and believed to have been living out of a white 2017 GMC Sierra pickup, could not be reached following the visitation. Law enforcement began an immediate search, including checks of local motels and tracking vehicle movement, which indicated the truck had headed west on Highway 2 from Wenatchee.
Bodies Discovered Near Vehicle
An Endangered Missing Person Alert (EMPA) was issued on Saturday, May 31, as the urgency of the case escalated. On Monday, June 2, at approximately 3:45 p.m., Chelan County officers located Decker’s unoccupied truck near the Rock Island Campground. A search of the nearby area led to the grim discovery of the three sisters’ bodies.
Decker was not found at the scene, and police have since issued a warrant for his arrest on three counts of first-degree murder, first-degree kidnapping, and first-degree custodial interference.
Public Safety Alert: Do Not Approach
Police describe Travis Decker as a former military member with extensive training, and warn that he may pose a serious risk to the public if approached. It remains unknown whether he is currently armed.
Authorities urge anyone with information on Decker’s whereabouts — particularly those who may have seen him on May 30 or after — to call 911 immediately. Members of the public are strongly advised not to approach or attempt to detain him.

“This is 32-year-old Travis Decker, according to the Wenatchee Police Department.”
