A Florida hairstylist was fatally stabbed in a parking garage, and the suspect has confessed to the crime. Hailey Hosford, 27, a hairstylist and yoga retreat instructor, was attacked just before she was about to head home on May 28 at around 1:30 a.m. The incident occurred at The Retreat at Sawgrass Village in Sunrise, Florida.
Surveillance footage revealed that 21-year-old Jackson Julian Sagesse Jr. approached Hosford’s parked Mercedes. As she attempted to get back into the car, he forcibly opened the door and repeatedly stabbed her. A male friend of Hosford’s returned during the attack and tried to intervene, but he was stabbed in the throat. Fortunately, he survived and was able to alert the authorities.
Hosford was discovered unresponsive and was pronounced dead at 2:01 a.m. Police arrested Sagesse at his nearby apartment. Two steak knives, one found in his pocket and the other in his car, were linked to his kitchen set. Sagesse later confessed, stating coldly, “I just killed someone and walked away.”
Friends and family remembered Hailey as a vibrant, life-filled individual. “There’s evil, and there’s good—we lost the good,” said her close friend, Aubrey Rosebrock. In her memory, a GoFundMe campaign has raised over \$14,500 to cover funeral expenses.
